Guide till att säkert bränna 360 spel [läs o spara el radera!]

Hallå! Jag samlade ihop en mängd fakta kring mitt 360 köp om hur man ska bränna spelen på säkrast tänkbara sätt, har inte direkt sett någon ihopsamling av denna information någonstans så jag tänkte slänga in det jag skrev åt mig själv så att säga, något att göra en sticky av? eller så är det bara skit, bestäm ni som har "makten" :P tänkte bara andra kan ha nytta av det, o korrigera mig gärna om jag har fel någonstans. Lite som en checklista för den osäkra i början.

Varför är det på engelska? för att jag inte gillar svenska? :P

Instructions for performing a xbox360 burn:
-------------------------------------------

1) Verify that the game is appropriate to burn using these steps:

- VERIFY that you are not about to burn a yet unreleased game (very
dumb!) so only burn games that you know
for a fact are available to end users.

- Preferably check lists of "confirmed working releases" to see that the
game is included there and doesn't require any special actions, is broken,
unrecommended etc.

2) For extra security, first:

- Reboot the computer first to clear out any residue chances of crashing
etc.
- Close all memory or cpu hungry programs, the less the better.

3) Unpack the game, naturally ;)

4) Check the image CAREFULLY in xdvdmulleter and perform any fixes needed,
make sure to crc check the ENTIRE
image to make absolute sure it's 1:1.

5) Burn the image in imgburn on DVD+R DL media (verbatim preferred) using
these settings:

- Set Layersplit at 1913760
- Set booktype to DVD-ROM (make sure you set it correctly)
- Burn at 2.4x and LEAVE THE COMPUTER ALONE during the burn for safest
possible result!
- ALWAYS set imgburn to perform a VERIFY after the burn to make sure the
disc is correctly burnt.

Note: If imgburn doesn't accept the iso, it needs to be patched!

6) For an extra verification of the disc being 100% correct, do this:

- Go into verify mode in imgburn
- On the 7th line (in the right pane) it will give you the size on disc which
should be "Size: 7,572,881,408 bytes" (or 7,433,027,584 for xbox 1)
- Verify that the booktype is DVD-ROM, if unchanged (WRONG) it will say
DVD+R DL.
- Check that the layerbreak is 1913760 (or 1913776 for xbox 1 games).
- If a verify wasn't performed during the burning (which it SHOULD have!
shame on you!) you can do one now
if the image is still available.

7) For a paranoid level of security, you can also load up the DISC in
xdvdmulleter and once again verify that
everything looks perfect. Thought it should, since the whole burn is
verified, but for that little extra!

absolute sure it's 1:1.
- Schtrom360Xtract, run stealth check.
- Xbox Backup Creator, run stealth check AND CHECK FOR SPLITVID, if not present, patch the ISO for splitvid.
- Kreoncheck (extract the ss-data from xdvdmulleter)

Notes:
A) Some find it enough to just do the xdvdmulleter check, but I find it good to check everything.
B) Splitvid isn't needed yet as the firmware handles that anyway but it may be required in the future and
some think that it is an extra level of security so I do use it.
C) Kreoncheck is mostly not needed anymore as the xdvdmulleter database should be correct now, but it's
no reason in taking the chance as the check is quick.

5) With all patching and checking done, check the size of the image against these numbers:

7,395,392 = Xtreme 3.0 rip
7,651,848 or 7,651,262 = SplitVid rip
7,258,816 = xbox1 iso (without splitvid)

(the image should always have the correct size, if not, something may be incorrect)

6) Burn the image in imgburn on DVD+R DL media (verbatim preferred) using these settings:

- Set Layersplit at 1913760
- Set booktype to DVD-ROM (make sure you set it correctly) (my sony writer is a "lite on")
- Burn at 2.4x and LEAVE THE COMPUTER ALONE during the burn for safest possible result!
- ALWAYS set imgburn to perform a VERIFY after the burn to make sure the disc is correctly burnt.

Note: If imgburn doesn't accept the iso, it needs to be patched! (think it's the ss tool)
