"We received information from several people (like Zero) that not ALL Xbox Sega Packs (xbox + 2games for $199) have a Samsung dvdrom.
The xbox consoles used in the pack are mixed and I guess u can end up with any brand dvdrom (thomson , philips , samsung) or xbox version (v1.0 & v1.1).

If the manufacturing date is August 2002 or later it *can* be an xbox v1.1 but that is NOT 100% sure, some 08/2002 & 09/2002 xbox consoles will still be v1.0
At this moment there's NO bios/kernel yet for xbox v1.1 ... but Team X-ecuter will release a v1.1 compatible bios soon.

If you don't know what xbox version you have (all prior 08/2002 are v1.0) :

*Goto the "settings" option in the XBOX menu and select "Sytem Info". You will see lots of legal text.
At the end of the txt you will see something like
K: 1.00.xxxx.01
D: 1.00.xxxx.01
If you don't see this you still have one of the first xbox versions (USA only) , so it's a v1.0
If the xxxx = 4034 or 4036 or 4627 you have a v1.0
If the xxxx = 4817 you have a v1.1

*Open the xbox ... if there's a FAN on the GPU (nvidia chip , next the intel cpu) you have a v1.0 , if no FAN you have a v1.1"

Är det det då 100% säkert att man kan få reda på versionen utan att öppna Xbox:en ?

Nej, jag har sagt det förut i andra trådar...

Är boxen gjord före 2002-08-01 så är det garanterat en "1.0". Är den gjord senare så beror det på vilken fabrik den är gjord i, jag tror fortfarande det finns fabriker som gör 1.0...

Eventuellt går det att se på serienumret vilken fabrik den är ifrån, men vad jag vet har ingen brytt sig om att ta reda på / lista ut ifall man kan se detta.
