We'd like to talk about flashing your onboard TSOP thru the LPC port re: the new EvoX method.
The problem is that the xbox actually resets twice. The first time the LPC bios will boot as normal, copy the code to address 0 & then reset the xbox. On the 2nd reset, the LPC bios is disables (the D0 is tristated !), the onboard flash is executed & the 2bl is corrupted by point T1, so therefore the code jumps to address 0. (If some of you can remember this method was discussed way back in July between numbnut & visor on xboxhacker.net). The X2 Pro & Lite would not work because they do not have the circuit to control D0 - i.e. boot up on the 2nd (nor does it wish to) reset with D0 tristated. Btw, there is a big problem with using this method - if the onboard flash is corrupted, you will NOT be able to do it again. Imagine m$ sending a digital bullet in their future software to detect & destroy modded system - X2 Pro would survive, Lite would be killed but at least you can removed it & the original flash would still work, but if you've modded onboard flash your whole system will be dead! Newbies BEWARE !!!
